Monitoring and responding to the unregulated drug supply

CATIE and CCSA logos

Presented in partnership with the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA)

Canada is experiencing a toxic drug crisis and people who use drugs are frequently exposed to substances they did not intend to use. The contents and strength of the unregulated drug supply can change between doses and batches and can look very different across Canada. This makes it difficult for service providers to respond to the harms that people who use drugs face.

This webinar explores challenges associated with a highly variable and unpredictable drug supply. It features presentations about drug checking programs and the Community Urinalysis and Self-Report Project, including how these initiatives can inform frontline responses to the harms of the unregulated drug supply. It also highlights a range of perspectives on implications for frontline services, as well as policy and programming responses.
