HIV criminalization and privacy rights

HIV disclosure obligations can be unclear since they can vary from case to case and from province to province. It is important that service providers understand the legal implications of an HIV positive diagnosis so that they can adequately support clients before and after they engage in HIV testing.

Created in partnership with the HIV Legal Network, this e-learning module is designed to help frontline service providers in Canada understand Canadian legal rights and duties related to HIV disclosure and privacy. This e-learning module provides Canadian legal information, not Canadian legal advice.
