Planning to get pregnant is an exciting time in your life. It’s also a time when you’ll probably have a lot of questions about what you can do to get ready for pregnancy.
One of the most important things that you can do for your own health and for the health of your baby is to make sure to take your HIV treatment. If you start HIV treatment before pregnancy and if you maintain an undetectable viral load before becoming pregnant and throughout your pregnancy, your baby will NOT be born with HIV. This is wonderful news for people living with HIV who want to become pregnant and have a child!
